Our annual ‘Try the Organ Day’ is the perfect opportunity for young musicians to have a go at playing the cathedral organ.
The day will be overseen by our Assistant Head of Music, Ashley Wagner and other professional organists – providing the perfect introduction to this beautiful instrument. With over 3,000 pipes, our organ is a powerful instrument, which is central to the worship and music of the cathedral.
Participants must be aged 8 – 18. While a background in playing the piano would be advantageous, there is no requirement for participants to have had formal lessons.
This event is free but booking is required.
