TIME by Luxmuralis at Blackburn Cathedral
The world-famous Luxmuralis arrives in Lancashire for the first time ever and this spectacular light and sound show is guaranteed to captivate and enthral as it transforms the entire Cathedral into a fully immersive artwork.
As part of our Centenary celebrations, this major centrepiece art installation invites you to explore humanity’s evolving relationship with the concept of time. This innovative projected light and sound show is perfect for guests of all ages and will be an unforgettable journey through history, science and imagination. You’ll be taken on a journey through time, traversing wormholes, venturing inside the intricate workings of clocks, and experiencing a dramatic narrative that spans from the very beginning of everything to the present day.
The Cathedral will be open late each evening allowing you to experience a mesmerising voyage through the epochs of humanity, before ultimately reaching the formation of our planet, creating a profound and awe-inspiring conclusion to this strictly time-limited event.
The Cathedral will be open late each evening and entry is via pre-paid ticket only. Choose a pre-booked time slot and your ticket will be valid for entry during this 15 minute period only, however there is no restriction to the amount of time you spend inside the Cathedral.
Ticket prices are as follows:
Adults (age 16+) £10
Children (age 4-15) £5 Infants (Under 4s) Free
Family ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children or 1 adult and up to 4 children) £25

TIME is created by Luxmuralis, an artistic collaboration between sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper. Leading creators of immersive fine art, their light and sound installations have transformed the interiors of sacred buildings, heritage sites and public spaces around the world. Luxmuralis sound and light shows aim to take art onto the streets and provide access to visual artwork in public and unexpected places.
