Lichfield Cathedral is delighted to announce a truly extraordinary musical event: Interstellar in Concert, performed by Roger Sayer, the original organist on Hans Zimmer’s Oscar-nominated soundtrack for Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed film, Interstellar.
The evening will open with three thrilling movements from Gustav Holst’s The Planets, one of the most beloved orchestral suites ever composed and a perfect partner to Zimmer’s cosmic soundscape. The performance will culminate in Roger’s own concert version of Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar score showcasing the full expressive power of Lichfield’s Hill organ.
This is a fundraising event and all profits will go towards the ongoing upkeep and work of Lichfield Cathedral.
