Join us for a service marking the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant, a public declaration of the Cathedral and Diocese of Newcastle’s commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.
This service takes place on the eve of the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain – a time to honour the dedication and sacrifice of all who serve or have served, including regular and reservist personnel, veterans, and military families.
The Armed Forces Covenant is an enduring promise between the people of the United Kingdom, His Majesty’s Government, and all members of the Armed Forces – past and present – along with their families. It recognises their invaluable contribution to our communities, our institutions, and our nation.
