The 8th May 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day, celebrating 80 years of peace since the end of World War II in Europe. Winchester Cathedral will commemorate this historic anniversary with a special service of Choral Evensong at 3.30pm on Sunday 11th May 2025.
Sung by the Boy Choristers and Lay Clerks, the service will include thoughtful prayers, beautiful music and poignant readings, with contributions by young people from Hampshire.
It will be an opportunity to reflect, remember and give thanks for those who served.
Everyone is welcome to attend, whether in-person or online via live stream.
This service is organised by Winchester Cathedral in conjunction with Hampshire Youth Network.
