Peterborough Cathedral is taking part in the city’s Christmas Hearts project.
Knitting and crafting firsts at Peterborough Cathedral
The initiative provides warm gloves, socks and a felt heart made by volunteers to Christmas packs given to asylum seekers in hotels in the city.
Charlotte, Peterborough’s Volunteer Coordinator said:
‘The Light Project Peterborough is a wonderful local Christian charity, and as a Cathedral at the heart of the community, we are delighted to play a very small part in supporting this project.
“One of our cathedral values is generosity, a value that our volunteers demonstrate 365 days of the year.”
