Chichester Cathedral is getting ready for its Festival of Flowers – a four day spectacular in the setting of the 950 year old building – which opens on 3rd June.
Chichester is blooming – 30th anniversary of Chichester Cathedral’s Festival of Flowers
It is the 30th anniversary of Chichester’s Festival of Flowers which will see the return of celebrated sculptor Philip Jackson, who will be presenting an exhibition of sculptures.
The festival, called Nature’s Embrace, has been curated and designed by Caroline Daines and visitors will have the opportunity to experience 66 floral arrangements, handcrafted by talented florists and flower enthusiasts from across the county.

And to mark the anniversary, Nature’s Embrace extends into the city through Chichester in Bloom, a city-wide trail led by Chichester BID when from 3 – 7 June, over 15 city centre businesses will transform their shopfronts with floral installations and displays.
There is also an exclusive range of stalls within the on-site market in the Cathedral’s 600 year-old Cloisters with unique products from a range of Sussex-based suppliers and businesses – from handcrafted floral arrangements, items for house and home, to local wine and produce.
The festival runs from 3-6 June and is open from 9,30am.
Chichester Cathedral’s Festival of Flowers is a biennial event organised by Chichester Cathedral Restoration and Development Trust.
Since its inception in 1996, the Festival has raised over £1.4 million for the Cathedral and continues to raise vital sums for Chichester Cathedral.
The Cathedral Trust is delighted to have the support of Title Sponsor Rathbones Investment Management for this year’s Festival of Flowers.
