James Gaffney – Salisbury Cathedral – Gardener & Works Department Volunteer

James is a dedicated young SEN gardener volunteer at Salisbury Cathedral whose strong work ethic and infectious enthusiasm led to the creation of an additional brand-new volunteering role within the Works Department team.

His commitment and positive attitude have made a significant impact on both the gardening team and his wider cathedral community.

Always happy, generous, and motivated, James takes great pride in his achievements and inspires those around him.

James has not only exceeded expectations in his role but has also fostered meaningful intergenerational relationships, enriching the team experience and breaking down barriers.
