Join us at Lichfield Cathedral on Thursday 26 March, 10:00-12:00, as we celebrate the completion of Common Threads, a diocese-wide community craft project bringing together hundreds of individual stories into one shared artwork.

Created in partnership with The Fabric Vault, the 15-metre table runner for the Jubilee Oak Table for the Nation has been formed from individually decorated textile squares contributed by schools, community groups, local businesses and individuals from across the diocese. Each square reflects something meaningful to its creator – a personal story, a connection to the Cathedral or the wider diocese – a celebration of identity and creativity.

This special event offers an opportunity for everyone involved to see the completed table runner in its entirety for the first time.

A service of thanksgiving will take place at 10.30am, followed by time to view the finished project and reflect on the collective creativity of our community.
