Bradford Cathedral will host Re:Imagine Migration, bringing together voices from across faith, culture and our public life for an open conversation about one of the defining issues of our age.
This conversation is part of the Cathedral’s 2026 programme exploring the theme Borders and Belonging and the event will feature author, broadcaster, and social entrepreneur Dr Krish Kandiah OBE, whose work has spanned refugee resettlement, community integration, public policy and faith-based social action.
In a city shaped by many journeys and identities, Re:Imagine Migration will explore deeper questions about home, belonging, responsibility and the future of our common life.
The evening aims to create space for thoughtful dialogue across differing perspectives, recognising that migration affects society in complex ways and deserves careful, respectful conversation.
The event forms part of Bradford Cathedral’s wider commitment to being a place where challenging issues can be discussed openly and safely, bringing together people who may not always agree but who share a desire to listen, learn and seek common ground. Previous conversations have been on the environment, global peace and faith conversations in the 21st century.
Krish Kandiah said,
“Bradford’s story is a story of movement, encounter, and belonging. Migration is often discussed in ways that generate more heat than light, yet behind every debate are real people, real communities and real questions about how we live together. I’m looking forward to having an opportunity to explore those questions with honesty, generosity and curiosity.”
